Even the Mandeville Police who patrol this area are extensions of the Chamber of Commerce! Helpful, protective and inviting. Everybody knows the Point belongs to us all.
Good fishing area in Lake Pontchartrain plus a nice romantic area for a night time stroll
This is the only Lake Front that is people and pet friendly. You can cook, eat, walk and fish here with very few "restrictions". It never floods and there is plenty of off street parking. The Sunset Pier is perfect. .sit, fish just walk it's length... gorgeous.

The "Park" is well maintained by the City. There are no houses or private ownership. It's a leftover habitat from the concrete factory that built the Causeway...real wildlife habitat. Ducks, egrets, herons, pelicans, even feral cats. Walk your dog...or your honey...or just sit in your car play your favorite tunes and enjoy the Lake!
Came here for only an hour but nice fishing pier.
Nice place, could use more lights for night fishing, but other than that, I REALLY like it there
