Holiday week, business was medium, league night so half the lanes were to be league. Normal policy anywhere. Desk person wasn't staying ontop. She booked lanes poorly with groups and finishing times. Couldn't get more than 1 lane with a party of 8; ok, but 15 minutes in she puts a party of 7 on the same lane group with us, while there was 3 other lane options. So 15 balls on a shared lane, just poor when they had other spots to put the group, especially when we sought out an extra lane. They were friendly enough, just not staying on top, thinking ahead.
For such a nice part of Louisiana, this place doesn't match the surroundings. There are less grittier places in inner city Detroit and Chicago (I've been to them). We should get a group together and buy this place and do what TopGolf has done for "driving ranges." Who's in with me?
If you are looking for a state-of-the-art, professional level bowling alley, complete with attentive and knowledgable staff and every luxury a bowling alley has to offer...go somewhere else. This is not for you. If you're looking for a cool place to teach your kids to bowl, one that definitely has the vintage feels, with sincere and down-to-earth staff, welcome to your bowling haven. We had a blast here with the kids, listening to metal on the juke box while giving each other high fives for bowling miserably. It was fun. This place is fun, if you don't expect it to be perfect.
If you are in any way serious about bowling, DO NOT BOWL HERE! If you still want to find out for yourself bring your own oil because this place has NONE! I threw one ball and when it hooked to the gutter halfway down the lane I walked up to the approach, felt the lane and it was bone dry. The only thing on my fingers was dirt.. I couldn't keep a plastic ball on the lane. When I talked to the lane mechanic about the condition of the lanes he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Yeah it's pretty bad out there, I haven't been here in a month." A MONTH!?
Bottom line is this place is run down. Everything is outdated and the staff are lackadaisical. Hardest working thing in there is the A/C.
Only bowling around in this area. Lanes are hit or miss. I think they are understaffed most of the time. Difficult to order food and always seams like you are bothering staff when you do.
