Def worth the trip to Mandeville.
They, obviously, did not want to make a sale on Sunday. Not good customer service and/or managers that need more training in positive customer relations.
I love BN!! The girl that helped us was wonderful. Super knowledgable about their selection. I picked up some great gifts for my kids. They also had some Lego sets I was unable to find anywhere else.
They had a large selection of Star Wars products, which most stores do right now, but it wasn't just the same things they had everywhere.
Great bookstore! Free WiFi. Great book selection. Can be cold in the summer, I guess that preserves the books. Prices much higher than online, of course, but great place to have a coffee and peruse a few books. With these amenities, I don't mind the prices. Also, great selection of magazines!
I'm really upset that I wasn't considered a valued customer, even though I spent $69 over 2 days and I hoped they could work with me to find a solution.
This is one of the most well organized Barnes&Nobles I have seen. Everything was perfectly stocked. I had to make two purchases and each time the cashiers were pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable. This store is also in a nice area, with other options for shopping and eating.
Very disappointing visit on Sunday, 8/27. On 8/25, I purchased a $25 gift card and on 8/26, I purchased Erica Spindler's new book and a beach bag that was discounted if you made a purchase there.
Great variety of books and book related items. You can sit inside or out and enjoy something from the Cafe while browsing your purchases. Employees are friendly and know the layout of the store enabling them to help you find anything they carry. If they don't have it they can order it for you.
They also had a LARGE selection of local books and Louisiana set children's books, which is surprising for a national retailer.
One of the associates truly tried to help me. The "manager" was very distracted helping someone with their phone. After, at least 20 minutes of waiting while the associate kept trying to find a solution and the "manager" saying she had never encountered this issue in her 4 years at the store; I was told they couldn't help me and I'd have to buy the bag at full price.
